Second portrait for Jonny
Sherree’s reputation as an artist chronicler of English society has brought her into the path of many high profile individuals, from sports stars to broadcasters, and inevitably she has become one of the country’s most sought-after portrait painters. One of her favourite celebrity collectors is English rugby star Jonny Wilkinson, who she first encountered back in 2003 when as official artist to the Rugby World Cup she painted ‘Deliverance’, a magnificent commemorative piece celebrating Jonny’s cup winning kick in the final seconds. Jonny bought the original on that occasion, and Sherree has just painted a more formal portrait of him for his home in France.
