Music and Dance - The Choreography of Life

"Anyone who engages with my work can trace the influence of the Impressionist Movement but it is perhaps not obvious that to me this means more than just paintings. Whether we are talking about the music of Debussy or the ballet dancers of Degas, impressionism has made a huge cultural impact, and of course a great personal impact on me. I think of my own work as fitting into this context of artistic endeavour, and this set of paintings reflects my love of "the arts" as a whole."
