"I am an incurable people watcher. Wherever I go I find myself fascinated by how we present ourselves and how we interact with one another, so I tend to seek out scenes which guarantee I will find exactly what I'm looking for - thus my fascination with the English social calendar. I find the colours, the movement, the fall of a piece of fabric, the interplay of light and shadow all cry out to be captured on canvas, and I believe that I am the one to do it."
