Cash in the Attic

"When someone found an old painting of mine and sold it for over £3000 on the BBC TV programme "Cash in the Attic", I was invited to come along and participate in the show. During the filming they asked me to paint presenter Angus Purden in front of a live audience so the pressure was on to work fast."

"I love working like this once in a while; treating the canvas like a developing photograph, I start with rough strokes which I gradually bring into focus by adding layers of detail. The whole experience was a fascinating one and tremendous fun."
