"I was immensely excited when the opportunity arose for me to work in this new and flexible medium. It was a big step for a painter to take, but I believed strongly that this was an area that I should explore as an artist.

Each piece was created gradually, and from conception to completion each has been a genuine labour of love. After a great deal of deliberation I chose pure bronze as the medium, as I felt that it had the gravitas and authenticity that I was aiming for.The subject was always going to be the graceful and elegant female figures that I have painted so often, as the opportunity to lift them off the canvas and into the tangible world was irresistible to me, and seeing them translate seamlessly into three dimensions has been a thrilling experience."
